There are many alternative routes to our mountain enclosures. The following routes will minimise your risk of getting lost!

To Southern Enclosure
For the best visitor experience visit the Southern Enclosure off Tari Road, Pukeatua.
Visitors travelling from Cambridge and all points North:
From Victoria Street, proceed over the high level bridge, take first exit on roundabout onto Pope Terrace, continue onto Cook St. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Shakespeare Street. Turn left onto Browning Street for 700 m. Turn right onto Carlyle Street go 550 m, continue onto Roto-o-rangi Road for 12.3 kms, turn left onto Parklands Road for 6.7 km, turn right onto Monckton Road go 2.6km. Turn left onto Arapuni Road for 10.5 km. Turn left onto Tari Road and continue to end of road.
Alternatively from Cambridge and all points North:
From the BP Connect Service Station on SH1, continue south for 19.1kms. Turn right on to Maungatautari Road and cross Lake Karapiro via the Horahora bridge.
Always keeping the mountain on your right, continue on Maungatautari Road for 4.3 kms then on to Plantation Road for 1.7kms. Turn left on to Oreipunga Road and follow this for 14.4 kms then bear right on to Arapuni Road then sharp right to stay on Arapuni Road and continue on 6-7 kms to arrive at Pukeatua. Turn right on to Tari Road (opposite the school) and proceed to the carpark at end of road.
Total distance from BP Connect Cambridge is approximately 45.8 kms
Visitors travelling from Tirau, Tauranga and all points South:
From intersection of SH1 and SH29 (Tauranga) travel north for 1.7kms.
Turn left on to Maungatautari Road and cross Lake Karapiro via the Horahora bridge.
Always keeping the mountain on your right, continue on Maungatautari Road for 4.3 kms then on to Plantation Road for 1.7kms. Turn left on to Oreipunga Road and follow this for 14.4 kms then bear right on to Arapuni Road then sharp right to stay on Arapuni Road and continue on 6-7 kms to arrive at Pukeatua. Turn right on to Tari Road (opposite the school) and proceed to the carpark at end of road.
Total distance from SH1/SH 29 intersection is approximately 28.5 kms

Visitors travelling via Kihikihi and from the SW on SH3:
As you come up the hill into Kihikihi turn right into Church Street then right into Arapuni Road. Continue east on Arapuni Road for 20 kms to Pukeatua. Turn left on to Tari Road (opposite the school) and proceed to the carpark at end of road.

To Northern Enclosure
The Northern Enclosure is situated at the end of Hicks Road and involves an uphill walk of 800m across rough terrain and farmland. Visitors are requested to keep to the fence line at all times and respect the fact that they are crossing private farmland.
Visitors travelling from Cambridge and all points North:
From the BP Connect Service Station on SH1, continue south for 1.5km. After you cross the bridge turn right at the sign for Te Awamutu and proceed along Shakespeare Street. Bear left at Browning Street and continue on to Maungatautari Road.
Continue along Maungatautari Road for 11.3 kms then turn right on to Hicks Road and follow road to the carpark at the end.
Total distance from Cambridge via this route is approximately 18 kms.

Continue on Maungatautari Road for 4.3 kms then take a sharp right to stay on Maungatautari Road. Continue along this road for approximately 9 kms then turn left on to Hicks Road and follow road to the carpark at the end.
Total distance from SH1/SH 29 intersection is approximately 18.5 kms
