The Maungatautari Ecological Island Trust receives grants, donations, products and support from a range of individuals, companies and organisations – thank you!!
The help of all sponsors and supporters, no matter how great or small, has propelled this project from an idea to an internationally recognised restoration project.
Maungatautari is now a safe ‘home’ for the critically endangered takahe, and the nationally endangered kiwi, kokopu, kaka, hihi, kakariki, robin and popokatea.
The continued safety of these endangered species is dependent on significant day to day maintenance of pest control and fence security.
